Working Wardrobe
Do you have clothing that is too big as a result of your weight loss success?
We highly recommend that you do not keep the clothing that you have “grown out of” during your weight loss process.
Keeping those clothes as a “safety net” is a way your subconscious can send the message that “this isn’t going to last, better keep those larger sizes, just in case”.
Getting larger clothing out of your closet tells your subconscious that there is no going back. And from a practical standpoint it helps create an environment that supports your weight loss progress.
Working WardrobeYWCA has three unique clothing banks offering free, business-appropriate attire to women experiencing homelessness or displacement who are in need of clothing for interviews or new jobs.
There is a specific need for large sizes.
We are looking for:
Office-appropriate clothes
Accessories: Hand bags, scarves, umbrellas
Shoes
Please make sure that all donated clothing is in good condition and dry-cleaned.
We will be hosting a collection drive April 6th (Saturday) from 9am – 1pm at our clinic in Edmonds.
If you are unable to have items dry-cleaned we can do that for you.
